Where do weight entries go?

I'm liking the ability to now add my weight right into my watch instead of the phone app. But where does that data go to? It isn't showing up in the weight section of my phone app or on the Fitbit site.

Hi, assuming you are logged in into your fitbit account, go to https://www.fitbit.com/  on your PC/Laptop and you will see Fitbit's Dasboard appearing. On top of the screen on the right side, you will see the settings icon, press that and choose settings. You will see the page with your Personal Info. Scroll down untill you see "Weight" and enter the value. Scroll down to the bottom of this page and press "Submit". You're all done now. Good luck.

Thank you. I know I can enter my weight on the website, and I can log it in the app. As of the new firmware update for the Versa you can enter your weight directly in the Versa as well. However, the info I put into the watch doesn't appear on the app, or the site.

I was hoping to be able to track weight changes from day to day directly on the watch.

Hi, unfortunatey this is not possible. You can see your weight in the New Today screen, but not alter it on the Versa itself. You will still need to go to your Fibit's Dashboard every day and enter your weight manually. Press on the Fitbit's Dashboard the weight icon and press it and it will ask you to enter your new weight form the current day. Sorry that I cannot make this easier for you. good luck.

Thought it was just me.

It would be silly if the versa has an option to input on the watch, but the data doesnt sync.

Best Answer

What do you mean by the data will not sync? Once you filled in your weight on Fitbit's Dasboard and synced it with your Versa, the weight will be displayed in the Today screen when you have activated that. Swipe up form the bottom of your Versa's screen and you will get the Today screen, if you do not have activated weight, scroll down untill you see "Settings" and press that. After that scroll down untill you see Weight and click on it to activate it and you're done!

Okay...so if I scroll up on my Versa to see today's stats. I have among my
stats to track (i.e. Core Stats, Hourly Steps, Heart Rate, etc.) I also
have Weight. When I select it on my Versa it allows me to enter in a
weight. After entering in my weight and hitting the checkmark it returns me
back to the stats screen and shows the weight I entered and the time I
entered it (please, please, please look on a Versa under "Settings" in the
stats of the day section (scroll up) before responding).

What is this stat for if not for tracking my weight? Does it affect
something else, like how many calories I'm burning? If so, what is it doing
in my stats of the day?

I'm not sure if this is an unused, not thought out feature, or if it's a
bug.

Data input via the phone can be seen on the versa.

Data input via the versa cant be seen on the phone app.

Defeats the purpose of giving us the option in this new update.

No. it's not a bug at all. The Today screen is relying on the information it gets from your Fitbit app. So, if you want your weight to be displayed in the Today screen, enter in manually by tapping the Weight in the Fitbit's app and press "Enter weight" (in the middle of the screen on the left side) and add it manually. After having doing that, press on top of the screen "Save" and your weight will be saved. Sync after that with your Versa and in the Today screen, when it's activated, you will see your weight.

The Versa by itself has no keyboardto enter your weight value, only for entering the pincode for the use of the Wallet app!!!

Have you even tried the function before replying to the posts ? Smiley Frustrated

There is an option to key in via the versa, and it states the time it is logged.

Sorry, you're right about that. My sincere apologies are necessary now Man Embarassed You have to be honest to admit when you make a mistake, as in this case! On the other side, though, WiredWeird is right with his post that you can enter your weight on the Versa, but will not show up all the time after syncing with your Fitbit App. Tried it myself but no update within my Fitbit app. So all in all, it's still better to  enter your weight into the Fitbit app and sync it with your Versa than vice versa.

My new Versa has function to ad weight on watch, but it's calculations are dubious and does not seem in touch with AP on phone.

True, but why the entry function on the watch?

Best Answer

Have you tried entering a weight without using the decimal digit? Do you have a "point" or a "comma" on your display?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decimal_separator

There is a bug. When you try to enter the weight with a comma it won't be saved.

Hi. Okay, so I enter the correct weight in the app, and it tells me I have 8 pounds to lose, which is correct. But what I see on the watch screen is 184 pounds left to lose. Even when i synch, it doesn't change. Sorry. I'm confused.

Me again. I found the cause of the issue. My Fitbit, when it works, is tied to my Weight Watchers app, and that has an erroneous weight entry from who knows where. It could have been a manual entry I made in error. Not a Fitbit problem.
