Why are the Whatsapp notifications not colorized?

The notification area has nice icons and colorized titles.

But the Whatsapp notifications are still in gray.

I want to know what the technical difficulties are to achieve this. 

Can you explain it, or is it coming in the next version?

P.s. I'm using a Windows Phone as companion, could be that Android/iOS have it colorized.

I can confirm the notification is coloured on Android (Green for whatsapp), so maybe its a Windows phone thing.

Thanks for the confirm! So that is one solution to my problem: "Buy an Android phone". But still want to know if it is on the roadmap for WP or why not.
