Basically, i bought a versa today and im not a fan of how it looks on my arm. My wrists are very small.
Anyway, im warming up to it but one thing that's throwing me off is why bother keeping it for the apps and screen? If my phone needs to be with me constantly for weather/gps ect what's the point? None of the apps on fitbit are something i dont already have on my phone.
May trade it in for the charge 2. Can anyone speak to why the versa is better? Also i use spotify for all my music and dont want to buy wireless headphones so that part doesnt really help me either.

Well, if you're looking to be free of the phone and still have GPS, the Charge 2 won't be any different than the Versa. You may want to look at the Ionic or possibly the Surge in that case?
Also, the Charge 2 doesn't allow installation of apps, so you'd have no weather available, or much choice of clock face. You also won't have any music being able to be stored on the watch. On the other hand, you may find the Charge 2 looks better on a smaller wrist. Hope this gives you some ideas.

I totally understand how you feel about the apps. Every time I want an updated weather or leaderboard version, I have to open the app and have it sync. What’s the point in that, right? Now I gotta open two apps, the Versa and the phone and have them sync which leads to what’s the point to have it on my Versa. I should just check it on my phone. Gotta open it anyway lol.

Right. I feel like unless you want to spend the extra extra on the ionic where the features may actually matter then the charge 2 is the way to go. Have to have my phone on me regardless so anything the versa can display my phond can display but better.
I guess the 2 kickers would be if you dont like having your phone with you for work outs then the music portion would be handy...but thats more songs you need to torrent illegally or purchase on top of buying wireless headphones. (I may be wrong but i think you'd still need your phone on you as a buffer for the 2 devices to communicate). Anyway, i just use spotify for all my.music.
Also the swim proof is beneficial but i don't like bathing with it on anyway and the 4 or 5 times i swim a year doesnt really warrant the extra cost/bulkyness. Competitive swimmers tho would definitely appreciate that though.
In short, i returned it to get the charge 2 and i dont regret it. Felt like the versa was too "sticky outie" and the ionic i didn't even entertain because of the size vs my wrist. Much more comfortable with the C2 and i don't feel like its gonna snag or gey scratched up.
