I just spent $120 signing up for a year of Spotify with the expectation that I could listen to downloaded music off-line while running. I just discovered that this was a complete waste of money! This was not clear that the other two music apps can allow downloaded music to be played while this one cannot. Unacceptable! I’ve been a long time fitbit customer and I am considering transitioning to a different smart watch

@Woowoo88 Many users are confused by the Spotify app. The full name of the app is Spotify - Connect & Control. This screenshot is from the Versa 3 full Features and Specs and is from the UK page. Pandora isn't listed because it is US only and Fitbit removed this page from the US Fitbit Store.

Fitbit isn't making false claims about its relationship with Spotify. I can understand if this is a deal breaker for you. Perhaps you can get a refund from Spotify.
