Why does my Fitbit log me as biking outside when I'm in Costco?

Both times since I got my Fitbit that I've gone to Costco, it shows me biking outside. No other stores, or shopping locale.

Hi @katiemacny

Are you pushing a shopping trolley/cart whilst in Costco? Perhaps it's mistaking that as holding the handle bars of a bike?

You could change your auto recognised exercise settings to ignore outdoor bike. You can do this by following the steps below.

  1. On the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Exercise tile to open your exercise history.
  2. Tap the gear icon User-added image
  3. Tap on Outdoor bike, and set to Ignored.

Thanks xmnuz, I thought the same, about the hand on the cart, but I'm pretty sure my husband mainly pushed it. It may be that I spend longer shopping in Costco, and the area is greater than other stores. I won't change the setting, I think it's funny, but I was curious if it happens to others.
