Again the company has fallen short. This new watch still can only have limited music app and they take away the GPS and add how to keep track of your period. Really Fitbit. From a woman that does not care about or have a period anymore. Thanks !! when are you going to get this right ....... Really looking into Apple watch.

If you want a tiny phone strapped to your wrist. Go ahead. But if you want a state of the art fitness tracker you will be missing out. You will also be missing out on that extra coin you will be spending.

People would have been more happy if the device was not half baked and not ready for release. This is a typical Fitbit release.

I find it rather amazing that of the dozens of technical reviews online not a single one has mentioned the buggy issues.

As a female who doesn’t need, nor want or use GPS when working out - the Versa is exactly what I want. Female tracking? Sweet! Family planning, etc is an amazing add on. For those who want GPS, head on over to the FitBit Ionic and check that out. It’s more down your request. 🙂 Or possibly they will come out with a GPS version later on in the year? That’s be cool too. For me, the Versa nailed it!

I feel like a lot of people didn't do their due diligence and actually research what the product was before purchasing. Many people seems to be expecting things that were never advertised to be included. Also, as far as the issues not coming out in the reviews... people without issues aren't going to be online talking about their lack of issues and that is the majority of people because these issues people are having aren't standard and chances are the reviewers never experienced them either. I know it seems like "a lot" of people are having issues but that number in comparison to the total number of versa users is minuscule. That doesn't mean they don't need to be addressed because they do. You paid money for a product and it should function as advertised. They just aren't as common as everyone thinks.

if it isn't what you'd like, i don't get your point of still going and bashing it? just find a device suitable for you. i personally like the period tracking feature and don't care for gps either. as for the limited music app, the versa literally just came out - stop acting like it's been out for at least a year. every device has issues during start up, don't you ever notice how many small updates apple has every time they release a new system for example? everything takes time!

What a way to trash a product simply because it was not targeted at the audience that you make part of.
Surprisingly enough, I was able to read that Fitbit's core audience is women from 25 to 35 years. Most of them don't care about the GPS and most of them DO care about their period.

I just received my Versa today. So far I love it. I've been with Fitbit since 2012. I just think its cool that you can downdown your music to the watch. And don't have to worry about a phone while you're working out. Give it a chance people. Or find something more suitable for you.

I actually am looking forward to this watch. I don’t care for GPS and I’m glad it doesn’t have it hence the cheaper price and I always have my phone with me anyway. Like what the others have stated, just move along and find one that does suit your needs. This one suits mine so I’m excited to get one. I’m reading up on all the shortcomings so I can prepare for it if I stumble upon them. Do your research. I’m sure there is one out there for you that will make you happy. Good luck.

@Jayelo • I was thinking the same. Read up on all the “potential bugs” or tips n tricks before mine arrives (tomorrow!). I’m like a school-age girl on her birthday lately!

Haha I so know what you mean!
Personally I am past having periods but the fact that it will have female tracking I think is a great feature. I wont get to use it but so what? I dont use lots of features of my Ionic but I love the ones I DO use!

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. It's always nice to see you @NellyG, thanks for all your help.
We really appreciate our members's input and feedback and I would like to thank you for yours. Our team is always looking to improve the Fitbit experience and many of the features included in the Versa were based on the feedback provided by our customers who wanted a lighter, smaller and more affordable tracker. The female tracking was another feature massively requested and we were happy to announce it as it will be very helpful for many people. Note that this feature is not exclusive of the Fitbit Versa, and will be rolled out in the Fitbit app soon, please keep an eye on future announcements!
I hope this resolves your inquiries, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.
