Why is there not an elliptical training on the versa? The versa is not picking up my total time on the elliptical. Yesterday it showed 16 mins of exercise on the elliptical and i did 45 mins. Should I turn off the auto detection for the exercise and manually put it in?

You can add up to seven shortcuts on your device and Elliptical is one of them. Under settings on the dashboard.

Then use the device to select it. Push the button in to start and then push it in again to stop.

It will still not be accurate as far as steps go as it is not step based. And you are not going any distance.

The manual is here and can help you understand your device and all that it does:

Changed mine on the settings on the app on my phone.  Go to the app, click on your device, click on exercise shortcuts.  Click on Edit.  Remove/delete the exercise you wish to remove.  Click on +Exercise Shortcut and add Elliptical 🙂

If i click on my device in the app I only have:

Clock face

Apps

Media

How to use

accessories

As options to choose from, I dont see evercise short cuts.

If I go to the exercise tile and click settinf it is set to auto detect the elliptical but it doesnt and its not an oprion to chose from on the watch.

NVM. I see it. But there is still no elliptical option. It says all short cuts in use.

You have to remove one of the existing shortcuts, then you'll get a list of options.  Elliptical is in there.

OK,  I had the same issue.  I followed all the steps and now have Elliptical on my shortcuts but it's not showing as one of the exercises on my Versa.  How will my Versa be able to distinguish what I'm doing?

@JoediverIf you added it to your shortcuts. You must sync the device before it will show up under the exercise screen. You will need to scroll through the exercises until it shows then use the start/Stop button to begin it. Then push again when you are done.

Once it syncs again it will show up on your dashboard

You must swipe left on the workout you want to delete. Then you can click the plus button to add a new workout type.

I had same issue and i fixed it. Go into the Fitbit app on your phone , >Versa > exercise shortcuts . You will see a plus sign at bottom to add another exercise, it will most likely say it’s full. So hit edit up in top corner and delete something you don’t use , then hit plus sign and scroll to elliptical , add it and you’re back the way you were on blaze! Make sure to sync now so you see update 👍
