Why not updating individual apps to address issues?

I received an update for the Setup app for my Versa the other day. I did have to notice it and install it manually, but it was there. Seeing as Fitbit is able, and seemingly willing, to update individual apps, rather than waiting for a full firmware update for fixes, I'm wondering why they haven't issued an update for the Exercise app to fix the crashiness and the failure to save Customized Stats after a sync? These have been issues for the full 2 months since Versa was released.

Hi there @meresydotes, good to see you around and thank you for the feedback regarding the issues you have experiencing in the Fitbit Versa. Note that small updates may appear from time to time for your apps in the Fitbit Versa to address minor bugs.

 

However in some other cases, is not matter of updating the app. These issues you have mentioned are more specifically and is require further review and investigation to release fixes that are possible only through the firmware of your watch.

 

Once again, I appreciate your feedback and If you are experiencing issues, feel free to share with me more in detail the behavior of your watch. I might be able to provide more updates or give you some extra help.

@RobertoME These are issues that are ongoing since the release of the Versa and have been reported on in detail many times by myself and others in these forums and through direct contact with support. I'll repeat myself, because why not:

 

1) Exercise app crashes and restarts Versa. For me, at least, this happens at about 3 minutes in and only in more vigorous workouts.

 

2) Exercise app crashes and exits to clock face screen. This can happen at any time during a workout.

 

3) Exercise app Customized Stats (tap on settings flower in an exercise and tap on Customized Stats) revert  to default after a sync.

 

Additionally, but not related to the Exercise app, Versa restarts itself overnight.
