For years I've used the Fitbit widget to show me right on my desktop what my calories burned are for the day. Today there was an app update and following the updates I noticed that my widget now shows steps instead of calories. I've been unable to figure out how to change it back. The option does not come up when adding the widget to the desktop. As of now, I'm unclear if this is an option that has been removed with today's update or if the option still exists and I just can't find it. Can somebody please advise?

@seventieslord Hi. Yes, same here. Animated steps widget now. I looked at the widget list and it only shows step widget or quick access, for Fitbit. It would seem there's nothing we can do.

Yes this is really frustrating I had the myfitnesspal widget with calories consit and Fitbit widget showing calories burned. Now it's pointless. No harm in having a steps widget but not at the expense of calories burned.

Same here, clearly they've made this decision overnight to remove a useful tool for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Bring back the calories burner widget, Fitbit! And give us dark mode whilst you're on!

Same! Before the widget sould show what your primary goal was set to, and mine was calories burned.
I would have preferred calories consumed but it's never been an option, but calories burned was the next best thing.
Looks like they've decided to default to steps without giving us any alternative.
Boo 👎👎👎

Yes not a fan of the updated version. Lacks colour and always like to see calories burned as I do more lifting and strength than 'steps'. Give us the option back please and some pizzaz while you're at it 😝
