Will Moto X4 be compatible?-Versa

I've enjoyed my Versa over the last year or so that I've had it, but I recently had to upgrade my phone due to my previous finally dying. I opted for a Moto X4, only to find that it's not compatible with the Versa. I know others have had luck changing the bluetooth AVRCP from 1.4 to 1.6, however I cannot get it to work with my phone. No matter what I do, my Versa simply won't sync. If anyone has any advice, please let me know.

But my question to Lenovo/Motorola is, I know the Moto X4 isn't compatible, but are there plans to make it compatible? It's been out for over a year, so I was hoping there would be some progress or updates at this point. If not, I really need to sell my Versa and find something different. Right now all my $200 smartwatch is good for is telling the time.

Hi, if you look at this site:https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315/?q=compatible&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1 , the Moto X4 should be compatible/suppored with/by Fitbit.

Go to the Fitbit app, make sure that BT is on. Restart your Versa and switch it on again. Set the BT in the settings of the Versa either to pairing or on. Place your Versa in the charger and connect via USB to your laptop/PC. Go back to your Fitbit app and press "add device" and follow the instructions. On a certain moment you will see on your Versa a four digit number, which you need to enter in the Fitbit app and the Versa is added to it. After that syncing should be possible. Good luck!

Thank you for posting that link. I've been going off of this list: https://www.fitbit.com/devices and the new Motorola devices are not listed. So I'm not actually sure what's compatible and what isn't.

Unfortunately I was not able to sync my Versa no matter what I did. I ended up having to wipe everything Fitbit related off of my phone, and do a factory reset to my Versa and set it up as if it were brand new. Unfortunately I lost all of the data that wasn't able to sync. I got it set up and it worked flawlessly for four days.

Then it wouldn't sync again. I force quit the Fitbit app and restarted my Versa, but no luck. It wasn't until I restarted my phone that it started syncing again. I feel like I'm having to babysit my watch just to make sure it's working right. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone having similar problems?

@Thielio Try this:

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Reboot your phone and Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes. Do not pair in your phone bluetooth settings
  3. Open Fitbit mobile app and sync

As a side note, if you keep having to repeat this procedure in order to make Versa sync/stay connected with your phone, I would recommend downgrading Fitbit mobile app. Personally, I find 2.74.2 version to be most stable.
