Will Versa allow me to export heart rate data for when I'm asleep?

I'm interested in buying a Fitbit so that I can track my HR all day rather than just during workouts. In particular, I want my waking heart rate each morning to monitor training. I've never owned a Fitbit before - is there any way to dump all the heart rates and times as a spreadsheet, similar to what my Garmin HR monitor does?

@ZeroPly Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! You won't be able to export heart rate data but you can show your Fitbit app to your doctor showing your daily readings. You can also vote for the idea in our Feature Suggestions board. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks - I have voted for the idea. There are 25 pages of comments requesting that, going back 4 years, so it's amazing that it's not higher on the priority list. I don't need generalized HR data, so will wait for that feature then buy a Fitbit.

@ZeroPly hopefully this will be implemented in a near future. I just wanted to show how the heart rate shows on the Fitbit app:

Heart Rate on app 1.pngHeart Rate on app 2.pngHeart Rate on app 3.png

Maybe this information may help you decide. As you can easily show this data to your doctor but as I said you can't export the data on an excel file or something similar at this time.

I'll be around!

This looks great. However, I do most of my data analysis externally, using tools all the way from Excel to BIRT. So for example, I would be charting resting and waking HR this July vs last July, or waking HR against my personal records. Since TCX is XML, it should be straight-forward to include HR data in there, which I hope you do soon!

I purchased a Fitbit Versa June 6th and though I could download the heart rate data. I was incorrect. I have since learned how to do just that. I have created a program Fitbit_Heartrate_JSON.exe that shows you how to get a Fitbit Access Token to access your data. It uses the https://dev.fitbit.com API as though you were an App developer, which you do not have to be.The program is free and located at www.busybrainconsulting.com Please enjoy!

I neglected to mention that the Fitbit_Heartrate_JSON.exe also has the capability to view your heartrate data by the second. The data can be displayed by each heart-rate point or plotted. The plot has zoom in or out and slide capability. The data can be converted to a CSV file or the plot saved as a BMP file.

Remember that was www.busybrainconsulting.com and the free peogram is Fitbit_Heartrate_JSON.exe

Totally agree with you! Very frustrated to find out that I'm unable to export all of my data into an excel spreadsheet for further analysis.
