My Versa 2 alarm did not buzz this morning so when I woke up, late, I noticed the screen was black. I tried to charge it but it is still unresponsive.

I am having the same issue. I got a notification that the battery was low, so I put it on the charger and now it won't do anything. Screen is black, not even the green lights will come on, on the bottom of it.

Same thing happened to me 2 days ago.  Charged it in the morning before heading out for the day.  Went to bed with at least a 50% charge.  Woke up in the morning to a dead Versa, and when i try to charge it, it gets super hot, but still will not turn on.  Has anyone reached out to fitbit yet?

My fitbit suddenly started working again and it seems to be charging (it's bern in the charger for at least 2 hours. I'll send an update if the change doesn't stick.

Contact customer service and let them know what problems you are having.  Do what they tell you to do.  If the problem continues, tell them you want a replacement if it is under warranty.  They will send a face.  You will need to use your strap and cradle.  Your warranty is only good for exactly one year, even if you continue to have problems.\\\\\\\

This is the second Fitbit that happened too. After I got the second one, the first just started charging again one day!  Now I’m disappointed this one has failed me too!  Hopefully will start charging again soon. If not I’m switching to Garmin

i reached out to them, i didn't have any warranty, but they did tell me they could replace my watch one time for free, i just gotta send back the old one!  Got my shipping label printed and ready to send off!

Check to see if they will just be sending you the face.  If so, you will need to keep the cradle and the straps.  I'm glad they are letting you do that.  Be careful, however, because the two replacements that they sent me were worthless.  One died within the week and the second died in ten weeks.  Hope you get more time than I did.

It happened to me yesterday with a versa 1 as well. I don't even know if the watch is actually charging.

It's quite weird to see several people experiencing the same at the same time.

After reading that a few had started working again... I threw mine on the charger to see what would happen.. And low and behold... It charged and is now working fine 🤷‍:female_sign:.... For now

So sorry to hear that you are having the same problem that so many have had.  Please contact customer service help line and do what they suggest.  If your watch is under warranty and their suggestions do not work consistently, talk to them about getting a replacement.  Remember that they strictly enforce the warranty, which is good for one year.  However, one person said that they were allowing him to get one replacement, so if your warranty has expired give it a try.

I have a theory that my Versa 2 became unresponsive a few days after I disabled my phone's bluetooth because I didn't want it to link to the car I was in. So that messed up with the bluetooth connection between my phone and my fitbit. I turned on the phone bluetooth and charged the fitbit for at least 2 hours and that's when it started working again. So if you're experiencing this black screen issue it may be worth double checking the status of your phone's bluetooth.
