I am going through the same mess.... Earlier this week mine just went waco... no notifications, finally get that fixed then the battery wouldn't stay charged so they told me to do a factory reset and now I cant get it to pair and I have lines flashing on the screen all the time.  Going to do another reset and see what happens... I am starting to get very frustrated Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

When I open the app, it won't find my Versa. My bluetooth on my iPhone won't locate it either.

When I said I took it off Bluetooth, I had pressed "forget this device" after trying many times to turn bluetooth connectivity on and off on the phone to try and get it to connect.

There is obviously a major bug going on with FitBit software causing this.

Hello @KnutM, @SunsetRunner, and @st_jubbsy.

Thanks for sharing your experiences and going through the steps that have been shared in here.

@KnutM I'd like to take a closer look at the music situation. Do you get some sort of error message when you try to upload music to the Fitbit?

@st_jubbsy, I could see that you have gotten in touch with our support team and that they are sending a replacement. I'm glad to see that you are getting a replacement, I am sure that it will be working without any hiccups.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Anyone have a solution as to why after a factory reset, the versa is stuck on the setup screen telling you to download the app first?

Ive attempted going through the setup process but despite my versa charging and being within a foot of my iPhone 7+, it can’t be found.

Hi, I couldn't identify a solution.

I contacted Fitbit and they had to send me a replacement.

Hello!

My Versa wasn’t syncing and after several attempts at restarting it and reinstalling the app, I did a factory reset

Now I’ve attempted to connect it to the app with an iPhonex, Hauwei Y6, Samsung tab and my laptop (windows) and no luck!

its stuck on the ‘download the Fitbit app’ dialogue on the watch. On 3 occasions it showed found and the watch gave me a code but after I put in the code....it just keeps saying ‘connecting’. And now, I’m not even getting to the code stage anymore, it’s stuck on searching

pls help

I am experiencing the same issue with my Fitbit Versa Lite losing time, not syncing, and after performing a factory reset on the watch now it is not recognized by any of my two android phones which worked in the past and not recognized on my iPad either.  And before you can reply back saying I have reached out to Fitbit Support and they are send me out a replacement hold on and search this forum site where many, many different customers are on there 1st, 3rd, 4th warranty replacement.  So I am not enthusiastic that my second Versa Lite will do any better over the long run than my first one and after my 12 month warranty runs out I will be the owner of a very expensive regrettable purchase decision.  I hope I am wrong but I am fearful I am not.  Given what I have read here so far.

Fitbit needs to offer a recall to Versa, Versa Lite customers whether in warranty or not.  Or upgrade them to the new Versa 2 in hopes that this new version is more reliable.  Fitbit is a well recognized brand which is why they can demand such high prices in these smart watches but the brand recognition will go downhill must faster than it took to build it and products like the Versa and Versa Lite failing so prematurely will certainly cause this to happen.  As another Versa customer has already stated, Remember BLACKBERRY?  Fitbit don't let history repeat itself with this product.

RECALL THEM!!!!!!!!

Same as mine.

Throw it in the garbage and by from a company that don't sell secunda merch
that they know don't work like fitbit do.
I recomend Polar or Garmin.

Saw many users being not able to pair their versa 2 after factory reset. I had the trouble too for sometime. Then it worked.

Restart your Versa 2 by holding the left button for 10 seconds. while it is getting restarted, search for versa 2 on mobile device. it will get paired (try couple of times)

The Versa 2 has the same problem. I got mine yesterday and it wouldn't connect to Pandora. I read to do a factory reset and now it will not connect to my phone. It can't even find the Versa 2. Very annoying. I upgraded because my Charge 2 got grey line in it. But atleast it would connect to my phone so I could use it.

This work-around also worked for pairing/setup my Girlfriend's Versa. I reset it (desperate action) since the heart rate reading had gone crazy a few days ago always reporting insane values. I was not being able to find it with her phone's bluetooth. Reseting while searching did the trick for me.
Now I hope the heart rate will go back to normal, else it will be the second Versa I have to return due to faulty hardware.

I'll know soon enough...

Seriously..I've done EVERYTHING short of uninstalling the fit bit app off my phone! I've done the rest; unpair the Bluetooth, restart the power on the watch and the phone, ( btw mine powers back on... doesn't stay off, I don't think that's normal) factory reset the watch...*sigh*

Before I did the factory reset 6 different sets of numbers ( the code) came in back-to-back from me trying to reprogram it prior...that and, the screen kept getting stuck. Now it is telling me to download the app which I already have but it won't pair with it I can't get it to go...please help

I don't know what to do other than to try and attempt a customer service call which I doubt I would even get anybody live.

Need of help BAD,

Melli

How long ago did you purchase it? These are notorious for this problem and
I was lucky and it started to happen a few months after purchasing it , so
I returned it. I purchases it at my local COSTCO.

I would suggest returning it and getting another model. I never had an
issue with my charge 2 and am using now. I bought the other one because of
the look and the extra features, but good with this one.

Got iPhone and Vera lite.

Had to factory reset because messages stopped working with the watch and time was wrong. Won’t reload now. Tried setting up the watch again with the steps you provided.  Not sure what else to do.

I did this and it works.

1. Open Fitbit app.

2. Delete the device.

3. Account > Security and Login  > Manage Account Access > Revoke All Access

4. Log out from Fitbit app.

5. Restart the phone and the Fitbit device.

6. Log in to Fitbit app.

7. Set up a Device

I hope this works for all of you, too. Good luck!
