I received a Versa for Christmas. I worked for like 1 1/2 days😡. Now it won’t connect to WiFi or even show my network anymore, on top of that I’ve had to charge it 3 times already. And no I don’t have any extra apps that are running it down. Only factory apps & clock face, haven’t had a chance to try anything out because of these issues. So I’ve read & watched how to articles/videos. No help, didn’t work😡🤬. I’ve removed it from my app, turned Bluetooth off & on again & yes even tried to reboot it and that has MADE IT WORSE. Now it won’t connect at all and can’t find it at all just keeps saying “looking”. Please help, I’m frustrated and upset, should’ve kept my ALTA.

Hi, the Versa will only connect to WiFi when it's in the charger and connected to a PC, As the Versa does not have WiFi on its own, it uses the WiFi of your Phone or PC as a bridge. Whenever you have done this, go to your device's Fitbit app and to WiFi settings. Do you see your Network now? If yes, press on it and enter manually the password of your router, mind you it's Capital sensitive. Once you have done that, there should appear on the right side of your network's name a white icon. Press that and Fitbit starts connecting to your network. Whenever this succeeded, the white icon will turn to blue and it will say "connected". At this time your Versa is also connected to WiFi, but only, as stated above, as long as it's in the charger and connected to your PC. If no network is present, press add network, enter the name of your router and password manually (again Capital sensitive) and it will be added as your network. For the rest it's the same as if your network was already present, e.g. white icon, etc. Good luck.

So this means the only time the Versa will sync is when it's in the charger? That doesn't sound right? Please explain.

Thank you, it’s working now, hopefully it will stay working. I still don’t think it’s tracking my steps properly & this doesn’t answer why it’s not holding a charge. But my WiFi is connect for now.

No, it will only connect to WiFi while in the charger. While it’s searching for WiFi you must click in the “searching/looking” moving icon & then click on your WiFi & enter password. Hope you get yours working too!

My FITBIT app can not see any wifi network. I can not chose one since he says that the connection with the device did not succeed?

I hope what some of us are trying to say, is my VERSA keeps dropping its bluetooth/wifi connection.  Just about every time I pickup my phone I have to turn off the bluetooth on my phone because it is no longer syncing with my versa.  can you help?

Hi, did you try to add your network to the WiFi settings: press add network - enter manually the name and password of your network (mind you both are Capital Sensitive) and it should appear in your Fitbit app. If that does not solve your WiFi problems, try the following:

1. Deinstall Fitbit app from your phone.

2. Restart your phone and, when they are not, enable WiFi and BT

3. Reinstall Fitbit app on your phone and see whether your network is now visible in your WiFi settings within Fitbit app.

ok, I turned everything off, uninstalled and reinstalled.  I'll give it a bit and see how that works.  I had uninstalled the versa numerous times, but never the whole fitbit ap.  hope that helps.

looks like uninstalling fitbit and reinstall did the trick!  Thank you

I am not seeing the option to Manually Add a WiFi network within the Fitbit App on mobile and PC. Been having trouble trying to connect it to the WiFi. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app as you suggested, but no luck.

Try to reset your router and then follow the same suggestions.

I have tried everything, from resetting my router to replacing the Verso in
the startup phase. There were times that I succeeded in finding it on my
smartphone, even got the four digit number, got connection and had a 100 %
of download = step 2, but never came to step 3. It always gives me
Bluetooth or connection problems and never starts up the way I originally
started it up the first time.
That's why I asked you previously; are there some changes in the software
of the FITBIT app made on the 29th of December. In my opinion this can be
the only reason why something that worked perfectly, suddenly becomes
useless.

Well it’s me again Tatershort, and I hope someone from Fitbit actually reads this. It’s super great that there has been so much help & advice to fix the WiFi connection problems BUT..I’m done!🤬
My Versa is doing it again, I shouldn’t have to constantly turn my Bluetooth off & on, constantly remove my Versa from the App & reinstall it again. Every couple of days the Versa i just recieved for Christmas loses WiFi connection and it shouldn’t. I had my Alta for 3 years and never had a problem..EVER!
I’m so mad & disappointed in Fitbit & this Versa!!!😡

Hi, AFAIK there are no changes made to the Fitbit app. Really do not understand why you cannot reach step 3. Why do you cannot reinstall Fitbit again, what's the message you get when you want to install it. For what it's worth at all, especially for all those with these problems, my Versa works with no hickups at all, sorry.

I’m with you!!! Something is not working right. Mine will work for a couple of days then nothing, no WiFi connection again. My WiFi works just fine one every device in my home & I have 2 teens & a husband that wear fitbits, theirs work fine!

Hi Tina, would you be so kind to elaborate your last sentence, that would be a great help?

I’m not sure what sentence isn’t understandable. My husband & teenage daughter wear Fitbit Altas all with their own accounts and they work with no internet connection problems. Just my “new” Versa. The 1st day I got it it worked no problem, a few days later no WiFi connection. Then I emailed on the Fitbit community page & saw other people were having the same problem. I did what you suggested & it worked, again only for a few days. Now same problem. How many times should I have to manually add my network & uninstall and reinstall before it works properly?
