I received a Versa for Christmas. I worked for like 1 1/2 days😡. Now it won’t connect to WiFi or even show my network anymore, on top of that I’ve had to charge it 3 times already. And no I don’t have any extra apps that are running it down. Only factory apps & clock face, haven’t had a chance to try anything out because of these issues. So I’ve read & watched how to articles/videos. No help, didn’t work😡🤬. I’ve removed it from my app, turned Bluetooth off & on again & yes even tried to reboot it and that has MADE IT WORSE. Now it won’t connect at all and can’t find it at all just keeps saying “looking”. Please help, I’m frustrated and upset, should’ve kept my ALTA.

Hi, just to be sure: when you want to connect your Versa to WiFi, do you have the Wifi within the Fitbit app activated and your Versa in the charger and connected to PC?? Otherwise your Versa will not connect to WiFi.

Yes, I do. Are you telling me every time I pick up my phone to sync my Versa it has to be in its charger even if it doesn’t need to be charged? And why is it constantly dropping my WiFi? I shouldn’t have to take my charger & go sit by my router to reconnect it when I want to sink if I’m in a challenge w/my friends & family & why isn’t it syncing when I have the auto sync button within the app on?

Hi, one other option, cause the Versa and Charge are different devices and the Versa needs a strong WiFi signal: did you try to reset your router? You can do that by either switching of the power (nobody within your family will like that Smiley Wink) for a few minutes and turn it on again or by pressing the reset button untill your router restarts. I usually prefere to switch the power off.

I have done that & you are correct my family did not like that, nor will they each & everytime I need to reconnect my Versa. Again, I shouldn’t have too constantly reconnect, I never had to do that with my Alta. If this is the way a Versa has to work then how do you pair wireless head phones & go to workouts or jogs without your phone? It will lose WiFi everytime won’t it? I’ve been happy w/Fitbit till now. It shouldn’t take this much work.

Hi Tina, it should not ne necessary this way, once set up properly, it should always work. The only thing I can think of now that there are a lot of Fitbit devices in your family and you're the only one with a Versa, which is far more sensitive regarding WiFi than the others. Once everybody is connected to WiFi, you're the "victim" of that. So, tell them to "disconnect" when you want to connect Man Wink. Other option is to ask them if they would be so "kind" to switch of BT when you want to connect to WiFi. The more BT devices are within the reach of your PC/laptop, the greater the problem will be for the Versa to connect well. All in all, what I'm now saying to you is that are too many devices with BT enabled. It's the same as setting up your Versa for the first time and it fails. The solution is almost always to move all BT devices out of reach or just disable BT. Stupid that I did not think earlier about this issue!!!

I'm having the same issue with the wifi setup on the app. Mine will only connect for a couple of minutes then it drops off.  I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the fitbit app, enter my wifi password and again won't stay connected.

You have the versa 2?  My versa 1 had this problem.  We deleted and reset many many times.  To make a long story short, I ended up having it replaced under waarrenty.  and it connected first try and never needed to be reset.  I would suggest you call fit-bit talk with them; I am convinced this is a manufacturer defect.
good luck!
