Won’t read heat rate, sleep stages and issues with dashboard

My heart rate won’t work for Versa. I returned and got another one and it has the same issue. It also won’t detect my sleep and won’t track my step per hour on my dashboard . I thinking of returning this one too 😞

Hey @Melora_M, it is nice to see new faces around! When you say that the heart rate on your Versa doesn't work, are you saying that instead of getting your BPM, are you getting this "--"? If so, I'd like to ask you something else, do you have tattoos on the same wrist where you are wearing your Versa? If so, use it on the other wrist. If this isn't the case, please let me know if you are wearing an accessory band? I'm asking because these type of bands may not perform well for heart rate tracking, so we normally recommend to wear a classic band for optimal results. 

If the things I posted don't apply in your case, I'd like you to follow the heart rate usage tips in this post.

If your heart rate is not being well tracked, your sleep stages won't be recorded because as you can see in this help article, your device tracks the beat-to-beat changes in your heart rate, known as heart rate variability (HRV) and based on this data, your watch calculates your sleep stages.

And now about your steps per hour, if they don't appear after you sync your Versa, let me suggest you to try the following: 

- Restart your Versa

- Log out/log in to your Fitbit account 

- Reboot the Bluetooth on your phone 

- Sync your Versa
