How long are you holding the buttons? It can take 10 seconds or so before the fitbit logo appears on the screen.
What problem are you trying to fix? There may be other options if you're having problems with the restart.

My information hasn’t sync with my app since Sunday. My watch is working fine except for sending info to apps. I have the app on both my tablet and phone and it won’t send info to either.

Given that it won't sync to more than one device I guess the issue is with the fitbit so the restart is the right thing to try. However, I can't understand why that's not working for you. If nobody else solves the mystery here then I think you may want to contact customer support. They may be able to see more from the server side: contact.fitbit.com
