Worth paying $100 for an uglier device with GPS?

I play a bit of soccer, go cycling (but can take my phone for that), swim in summer and the occasional bit of athletics. Is it worth paying an extra hundred bucks for an uglier device (Ionic) that has GPS?

Depends on your usage. I use the ionic for jogging. The GPS seems pretty accurate and it means not taking my phone with me. The GPS makes it good for pacing yourself if your running. It's all about how much usage you would get out of GPS.

If you don't jog a lot and don't mind having your phone whilst cycling then it may be hard to justify the extra.

i dont think the other watch is waterproof..

which is the reason i upgraded my Charge 2 to Versa..

so that is another consideration.. for myself. I always carry my phone with me does not matter what i do. unless swimming of course.. so.. i dont care. the connected GPS works ok.. but not great.. on the versa.. so that is a little bit of a bummer..

but for myself the swimproof was a deal breaker on the other watch. .thus the versa

I have both the Ionic and Versa, both are waterproof.  But, if you're like me and don't use the GPS too much, then I would go with the Versa.
