How can I track yard work and house work?  Surely calories get burned. Is it going to show up only as steps?

Second question - on the exercise function on the Versa, I can pick time, distance etc., but what about having it open ended, i.e., how do I just "walk" and at the end see how much was logged  - in other words how will it log without setting a goal?

Use work out mode for both. Then set up a custom exercise on the exercise page and rename it when it syncs. You can find it at the bottom of the exercise page.

Not really sure I understand your next question. But use walk mode if that's what you are doing when it sync's it will show the steps taken just for that walk on your Dashboard

For 1st question, calories are continually added to your daily total for everything you do, mostly based on your heart rate.  This includes whether or not you are doing something classified as an exercise session.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

You don't have to worry that the device won't track your work. The fitness bracelet registers a rapid heartbeat and flapping of the hands, reporting movements or other activity. But, if you want more accurate results, you can turn on the ""Workout"" mode when you start housework. I use the magnetic chore chart system to track how much time I spent on this or that action. As a result, the program will still count the total number of calories burned daily, even if you do not use the ""Workout"" function. Good luck and good weight loss!

Hi @rosiequeenofc - if you walk more than 10 minutes the watch recognises the activity automatically as walk and continues the recording for as long as you are walking.
