My Versa 2 has suddenly today stopped recording active zone minutes and heart rate accurately. I'm just back from a 3.3 km 32 minute brisk walk, during which time it has recorded 0 active minutes and shows my heart rate at failing to get above 104, which is just fanciful. Yesterday and since I added active minutes (January 😎 it worked fine. Any ideas why the sudden change?

Seems like this is a common issue following the most recent update.
Check the Fitbit app version
In the phone Fitbit App Click on profile photo [top left] Help & Support Version at the top |
If it is the Android 3.36 or 3.36.1, then update to the recently released 3.37, it may fix the issue.
If this doesn't resolve it probably best to inform Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

Usual advice restart both watch and phone.

Restart doesn’t work.
Support won’t likely help either, as this particular issue is not isolated to a few users; perusing the threads here shows it’s a fairly common bug after this last update.
I will say that a restart did help some, but HR during exercise is still off anywhere between 10-40+ BPM, which obviously affects the “zone minutes” calculation, as well as your caloric expenditure number.

It has been over a year now since it was posted about this bug of Fitbit's not picking up zone minutes and it's still happening . I know from first hand experience that it is still happening . Almost every day I walk at least 20,000 steps yet I have very little zone minutes today this morning I walked over a mile with my dog but have 0 zone minutes which is very hard to believe . Again the zone minutes do not work and it looks like Fitbit has done nothing to fix this issue

@HydeParkBooks - in the Fitbit App try clicking on the Heart rate tile, the Gear settings, Heart health and then check if you have Custom Zone ticked.
If so, go in and remove the settings, click Done at the top.

Exactly a year later and my Fitbit Versa 3 recorded 0 zone minutes for 30,000+ & 15 miles. Not acceptable. Will be choosing another device company soon. Customer support is basically worthless, giving everyone cookies cutter directions.

I agree about the customer service giving unhelpful cookie cutter directions. I've gotten more help and better advice from you all here on the message boards then I ever have from Fitbit's customer service
