app won't connect to versa

Got the versa last month. While I'm happy with the watch itself, I'm over it not syncing with my app (IOS) regularly. I have done all steps: forced sync, deleted device, uninstalled app, turned off Bluetooth, restarted phone, turned on Bluetooth, reinstalled app, added device. It has found the device but has been "connecting to tracker" for 30+ minutes. There are no other devices attached to my Bluetooth. I have tried the process two days in a row over 2 different wifi connections. This is past frustrating!!!!!! Any advice?

You haven't mentioned trying a restart of the versa:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If your Fitbit Blaze, Fitbit Ionic, or Fitbit Versa doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

I was so frustrated, I forgot that part. So yes, the device was restarted previously. While waiting for a reply here, it miraculously paired and synced (of course). I appreciate your fast reply steve!

Im having the same problem and I have done every bit of trouble shooting advise that has shown up on this forum and the website.  Nonetheless the app stalls and gets stuck "Connecting to Fitbit"...right after I enter the number displayed on my Versa.  The wheel just spins and spins for hours.  I synced once when I bought the Versa in the States last summer but it never ever displayed the correct time??  I then tried to resync to no avail but decided to wait until I got home (we live in Europe at the moment) so I could try on my laptop.  Unfortunately the Fitbit Connector on the desktop doesn't work for a Versa, just the app.  Ive updated the app, deleted it and redownloaded, Ive turned off the Versa, Ive turned off the bluetooth connection and restarted (it says it is connected to the Versa), have 100% battery life, great wifi connectivity, Ive removed the devise from the app and am just trying to reinstall it.  This is beyond ridiculous.  I bought this watch over a month ago and have never been able to use it.  Grrrrr. Anyone have any ideas what I may be missing???
