constant disconnects and lost notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been using "versa dashboard" as my watchface for a while and it has both a bluetooth connection icon and the optional feature to vibrate when disconnected.

I'm not receiving  most notifications and I'm seeing the watch disconnected constantly.  This is a relatively recent development, maybe the last app update?
Pixel 3 XL + Versa 1

I can get it to sync manually after some tries usually.

It seems like there are software releases that work well for weeks at a time and then these really rough patches.

I'm tired of the resetting/reconfiguring stuff -- is there any known issue being tracked and fixed?  It seems like others are experiencing variations on this theme.

Hi @lance.lascari , in order to help you the best way possible, would you be so kind as to post the exact name of the watch face you're using: in the dashboaod of your Fitbit app, press the watch icon - press clocks - on top on the left side you see "My Versa 2"  - press the Watch icon in the middle and you will see the name of the watch face, thanks in advance and regards, kuzibri

I have a Versa (1) and it is "Dashboard" by BV designs".

I don't think the problems have anything to do with the watch face, the problems are the bluetooth connectivity and notifications/syncing being completely unreliable again.

The watchface option to vibrate when disconnected let me know how bad this problem had become.  In the past it would disconnect and I would get a vibration and either it would connect by itself or I could force the issue.   It was regularly disconnecting and reconnecting over the span of minutes or tens of minutes and I turned that option off because it was going to keep me up  while trying to sleep.

I'm not getting notifications reliably... not good.

Hi @lance.lascari , although you think that your CF is not the problem (Third Party One), I would suggest to change your CF to one developed by Fitbit and after that restart your Versa and see if your problems are solved. Regards kuzibri

How in the world are you getting a vibration notification when your Versa disconnects from your phone?  I've had my Versa a few months and to the best of my knowledge there was no way to get the Versa to notify you of a Bluetooth disconnection e  Therefore, you get no notification when you are leaving your phone behind, which is the biggest reason I started using smart watches.every watch I've had, even the cheapest had this feature.

This was a feature of the watch face itself.  If when selecting a watchface you search for "bluetooth" you can find some that will show a bluetooth icon on the face to show the connection and some have this vibrate feature.   I think it should be a built-in thing, and I only use it because the connections are hideously unreliable (across multiple mainstream phone models, multiple Fitbit trackers) in my experience.
