I'm on an original versa and just did firmware update.  This QUICK SETTINGS thing when you slide down from top is SUPER ANNOYING.  Please tell me how to disable this or if it's not possible to disable, please update firrmware again or add an app setting to REMOVE IT.  Super, super, super annoying!

@cogsoz I TOTALLY AGREE with you!!! I really wish fitbit would move REMOVE the quick setting soon. I'm sure they have gotten enough complaints by now.

Please!!! **ahem** that's annoying.  You guys really meant for it to come down automatically at the same time and cover notifications?  Make it a second swipe down at least.  Or offer an option to disable.  I assumed it was a bug...

"We will look at ways to improve this experience for the future. "

The simple, and obvious answer (obvious for all users of FitBits at any rate) is to remove this idiotic annoyance. The music option is no use to me as I have no wireless headphones. The wallet is no use to me because there is no bank that I can use in the UK. I don't want to change the display options in any way that cannot be done elsewhere.

Please pass these obvious points to your software guy. You mention a "Team of developers", but I imagine the software is managed by one lonely person, who hasn't been told to consult the consumers on changes before forcing them out.

I'm yet another user who hates this. I just bought a new Versa 2 and I have a two week return window to evaluate if I want to keep it. This feature (bug) is annoying! I complained to Fitbit and got the same answer everyone else got: It works that way. Sorry!

I have to decide if the pros outweigh the cons, and if I'll keep it or return it.

On the face of it the Versa is a good gadget. It can have useful features -
timers, stopwatch, alarm etc, and it often connects to a phone which allows
the weather and notifications which is helpful. However it suffers from
unreliable connectivity (see the reviews) and when its Bluetooth is sulking
several features don't work. And there's that extremely annoying menu
display, and the payment system that doesn't work in the UK. The four day
battery life compares well with other smart watches, and extremely well with
Apple, but when the battery begins to fail, as all Li-ion batteries do after
a couple of years I will be looking very carefully at whether they've
improved things before I buy another one. TomTom beckons.

The newest Ionic firmware (27.70.7.27) has dramatically improved this "feature".  Now when swiping down, the quick settings banner still appears, but it scrolls off the screen immediately you start to scroll through the notifications.  It's even possible, if you swipe down and start to scroll immediately, for the banner to not appear at all.

Thank you Fitbit, this is a step in the right direction.  It makes this largely unnecessary banner bearable.

I went to check my firmware, and the version on my Versa is 32.70.7.14, so the two trackers must be on a different cycle. The pathetic and annoying menu is just as obtrusive as when it was first added.

The battery life of my Versa has started to degrade sharply, and it has to be charged every two days now instead of the previous four. I will probably not replace it with another Fitbit due to the crappy menu, and the very unreliable Bluetooth connection to Android. I object to having to clear the app cache about once a week to keep connected.

Apparently there are different firmware versions because my VERSA is on 32.70.7.27 but the banner is less obtrusive. Thanks Fitbit/Google.

Oh @JDavidJ yes, I'm charging every 2 to 3 days now as well. And about that Bluetooth to Android connection issue, dealing with that as well. Thanks for the tip to clear my cache once a week, something else to put on the to do list, has that been making a difference? I just installed the firmware update so I'm just going to stay positive about the outcome.

I want to sync weather, calendar and message notifications from my phone
(and occasionally use it to track exercise), but all too often I go to check
the weather and instead there is the error message something like "Sync with
your phone". Of course it has been happily syncing for a few days, and then
just stops. I had no help from Fitbit about this problem - just generic
platitudes, but in the end discovered the Cache temporary solution. If you
are not familiar with the procedure, on my phone it is: Settings gear wheel
- Apps - Fitbit - Storage - Clear Cache.

Best of luck.

I am so glad to see I'm not the only one hating this feature and finding it annoying. I've almost been tempted to go back to using my old Blaze.

That said I'm really disappointed that this "feature" was reported to Fitbit months ago and they've still not taken it out. All I can assume is that the people who make the choices don't actually use the product on a daily basis to realise how annoying it is covering half your notifications.

I see fitbit still has not fixed the quick menu issue. I am glad I did not update firmware last year and I will wait until they eventually fix it,

This is still a thing.

It's such an obvious flaw in design that should have been updated by now . A useless obstructive "feature" that the Fitbit community would really like corrected. Please.
