Dear Fitbit makers - This is pretty savage. That quick settings gizmo slides down and covers the part that I want to see. I have to push it out of the way every time and you really should allow people to choose to remove that if they do not want it. It's making me want to increase my bench press from pure rage. Thanks.

In your watch Settings, set Left Button for Quick Settings. Now, Quick Settings will only be seen by pressing and holding the left button.

Nope. No go. Still slides down when i slide from top. this is a baked in feature that started with versa2 and the firmware update to the o.g. versa just added it.

I like that it is there but I would appreciate it if I could choose between "open automatically" and "swipe down to open up the quick settings bar". But even if we will never get this feature I don't think it's too annoying because it disappears after a short period of time or when I start scrolling through my notifications.

This "feature" is just totally annoying. I'm on droid and get a lot of email/txt notifications. Having this floating bar force its way on top of everything is driving me nuts. I have zero reason to ever even change the options that it presents to me. I never go on dnd, i keep the brightness at auto, etc..... this is totally useless feature to me and they need to allow this to be disabled.

I just updated my Versa today, and the quick settings drop down when swiping is super annoying. It blocks words on the notifications. At the very least update so we have an option to turn that feature off. Bad idea, please fix it. I love my watch, but hate this feature. Thanks.

It is completely awful, isn't it. I use my FB every day and get a ton of notifications. This annoying quick setting is the worst design choice anyone could have possibly made. Whoever is responsible for adding this to the FB should be reprimanded and immediately terminated with no severance.

This is such a dumb feature. Why does it even exist? It conveniently covers the battery level as well as the date for solid 2 seconds, when I simply want to quickly check the battery percentage. Absolutely no way to disable it either.
Fix this please Fitbit.

YES! It is super annoying. It would have way more sense to have it show up if you swiped from the left instead of covering up the top of the notifications.

Thanks to everyone for chiming in. Perhaps the Fitbit people will see this topic and recognize how incredibly awful this feature is. I'm still on the original Versa and wish I did not update the firmware!

So far..no response. Why don't we all flood them at the help desk with the fruitlessness of this ridiculous feature and get it removed #peoplepower

There was yet another firmware update that I saw on my app yesterday so I applied it. I was hoping it would remove this savagely horrendous nightmare drop down, but it did not.
I see now fitbit is taking their operations out of China to avoid the trumpage and tarrifs. So...Let's get the production out of China and let's get this goddamn drop down out of our watches.

I have reached out the only thing they did was send me to a link for the user guide that is not helping, I tried everything to remove this annoyance that is making me want to break this fit bit and say my staff is right and say forget fitbit and move to apple watch and I hate apple. That is how much i hate this stupid update the dropdown has me in a rage. This is such b.s i agree it needs to be able to disable i dont use my watch for music, i use it to track steps and miles, fire whoever decided on this stupidity. They better resolve this asap I was about to purchase the versa 2 now heck no with this bs

So fellow Angry Mobbers,
I called Fitbit today.
They tell me it's an app development department thing that they've incorporated into the update and it has no feature..I repeat no feature to be able to deactivate, remove or disable this Quick Settings menu.
He apologized 9739 times for the inconvenience this may have caused and have you been to the community
forum .
Umm...have you??? Is not May have caused, it IS causing extreme rage for many of your customers.
Is there anything else he can help me with?
Yes.
Tell them to get rid of it for the love of God on behalf of me and the angry mob.
I tried peeps...It's a black day in Fitbit land indeed. We need a hero.
