how can I update to the new fitbit versa from the alta?

I got a fitbit versa and the other device is on the dashboard and is showing old and outdated information, of course.  I want to add my new versa and get rid of the alta.  not sure how to do it.  very frustrating

From your message I would assume that you have not yet linked the Versa to your account. To do that follow the steps below:

 

1. make sure your Versa is fully charged and/or on the charger.

2.  open and app and manually sync your Alta to get all the information up to date.

3. on the app dashboard tap on the setting icon on the upper right (the one that looks like a document).

4. on the settings page scroll down and tap on + set up a device and then select the Versa

5. follow the instructions to link the Versa to your account.

 

This should start the process to get the Versa linked. When done you can go back to the settings page, tap on the Alta tile and then tap on the garbage can icon on the upper right to remove the Alta from your account.
