iMessages won't come through my Versa 2

I’ve had the Fitbit versa 2 since it came out in September and love it! However I recently did an update on my iPhone 8 and now cannot receive iMessages or text messages.
I can still receive all other notifications (snapchat, facebook messenger, WhatsApp, calls, etc) but I’ve tried everything to get my iMessages & text messages working again and had no luck. Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a solution?

Hi there @AMR1992, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issues you've been having with the iMessages app notification. I appreciate you've taken the time to troubleshoot this issue prior to posting here, I'll be glad to help you.

I also have an iPhone and I did have a similar inconvenience, but I tried toggling the iMessage setting; general > Messages > iMessage and verified the "Show Previews" was on "Always". If this steps don't work for you, I suggest taking a look at the help article: Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones.

Do you know if FitBit and Apple are planning on fixing this? I’ve had a FitBit for over 5 years and was always able to keep my iMessage notifications private on my phone and still get them to my FitBit. This issue is nee this year and it’s quite irritating to have to have my messages show on my lockscreen.

@alymcday I’m not sure if they are but I was equally frustrated because I liked to have the previews off on my iPhone. I have changed the show preview setting to ‘When unlocked’ and it still works so I’m sticking with that for now. Hopefully they’ll find a full fix soon!

Thank you for the tip!! Changing my setting right now!! Haha yes, hopefully they fix it soon, but it sounds like they’ve just put it aside since there’s a “solution”.....fingers crossed
