is it ok to wear your fitbit versa 2 on the back of your wrist ?

I have sleeve tattoos & the fit bit Versa 2 is not registering my heart rate / Zone minutes due to the sensor not reading correctly through my tattoo ink , so I turned the fit bit round to the back of my wrist ( inside of my wrist ) where I have no Tattoo ink & it seems to be working fine , is this ok will I still get a true reading ?

I’ve worn a Charge 2 and Versa 2 there and had no problems
