my Versa 2 keeps dropping the synch in activity mode

I'm in activity mode doing a specific exercise and all the sudden I looked down and I'm back at the front screen. I could turn in on activity mode again and start the exercise up again but then I have 2 sessions instead of 1.  This happened to me yesterday  2 times during your workout which meant my workout was divided into 3 different activity sections. I am using a Samsung note 9.  This happened before & after I updated my versa 2 firmware. My current firmware version is 35.70.8.0. I am using an android Samsung note 9 version 10. Fully updated to last update on may 9

Let me see if I understand, your Versa 2 is not simply losing the GPS connection to the phone, but comes out of the exercise tracking app.

Yes.

To be specific I turn on exercise mode I am in the middle of a workout and I feel my wrist vibrate I look down on my wrist and discovered it's back at the front click screen.  I can turn it on again as a new exercise mode but I end up with 2 different sessions. This does not happen every time -  for whatever reason it seems to happen the most on Saturdays.

It has happened when it is in work out mode and it has happened when it is in yoga mode. For whatever reason it's never happen went on then walk mode or tennis mode.

For background: This happened with the new updated firmware as well as happening with the older firmware. I took care of the basic troubleshooting steps on my own (ie making sure fitbit app had 100% of permissions). I called support around a month ago & at their advice re-synced my versa 2 as a new device to the app. I also saw began re booting my Versa 2 once a week before I knew I'd be doing a long exercise sessions. Issue still kept on happening. I did the firmware update the other day with hopes that this issue would go away but no, it happened again. I did try to call support after it shut off 2 times in a 80 min workout yesterday, but never got a person after staying on hold for 40 minutes and gave up. In between my original call to support and my attempt to call them yesterday I tried to deal with this problem on fitbits page & their moderator basically message me they couldn't help me because I was already dealing with someone. I'm trying my hardest to find the solution online as I don't feel like waiting on hold for 40 some minutes to start the whole process all over again.  I am using a Samsung note 9 with the latest software update and have made sure that the power management is not optimized for fit bit app.

This is happening to me, too. Today it did it during my walk. It does it when I'm lifting. It does it all the time during boxing, but my hands are wrapped and stuck in gloves, and I can't just stop what I'm doing to turn it back on. It is making me seriously consider going back to my Polar HR chest strap.

With mine the app drops out after about 10 minutes. On the watch it shows “connecting” but doesn’t reconnect. I have to stop running, fumble to get my phone out of my bumbag and reopen app. 😡 I have set every setting that I can find to always work 😡
