my versa home button stopped working after a swim

its usually fine on other days. it started to bug out and kept on opening agenda. tried to close it but home button wont work. i think it also might be waterlogged. please help.

Hi @taoqlee - if it is working strangely after being in water make sure it is properly dried and hands too.

Be careful if it gets hot when charging stop immediately as there is internal damage.

You can try drying it out in rice for a few days.

Might try drying it out w/a hairdryer on low heat/low speed & not too close (you don’t want your device getting hot). It’s always done the trick for me to dry out phone ports, key fobs or other electronics that have been exposed to water or humidity.

😃 That’s a great idea @NancyB I’ve never thought of that method. It could possibly help. Lot’s of hairdryer now have a “cool shot” button (or cool settings)

 

Of course putting it in a bag of dry rice as @Guy_suggested is a great idea as well especially if it’s wet enough to cause screen disturbances.

I save those anti-moisture packets that come w/shoes, handbags & other things. Have a baggie full of them to use instead of rice. Used it to dry out my iPhone before I started using the hairdryer solution. Just a thought 🙂
