not receiving phone text messages but i am receiving phone calls

why is there no response to everyones issue of not receiving text messages on my android galaxy 8s+.  I receive phone calls on my versa but no messages.  I used to receive them but they recently stopped.

I have a samsung  galaxy s8+ and I have exhausted all troubleshooting suggestions on the help site and all my settings look correct.

 Then it would be time to contact.fitbit.com

Do this:

Go to bluetooth settings and Forget Versa

Reboot phone

Go to bluetooth settings add device

Add Versa

Go to Versa and turn off notifications (hold left button down 2 seconds) and then on again

Go to Fitbit app > text notifications, click on your messaging app

Then try it out.

I agree with @Eriklb with the exception of going back to the phones Bluetooth to add the Versa.

This might work on iOS but will not work on Android and windows phones. 

The Versa, like all other Fitbits can not be paired to the phone this way .you should get a rejected by Versa 

If you remember you never paired your Versa this way when setting it up .

The app will do this when the Notifications are configured .
