Can you please tell me if it is possible to stop the Today app? And how to do it.
I have noticed that the step count per hour stops when it reaches nearly 250.
I imagine there is a vast amount of calculating/communicating going on to register activity this hour which freezes the step counting process, and this is being done by the Today app?
My clockface, SimpleClock, performs all the counting and information display needed, and unless results are supplied by the Today app for the API calls, it is redundant.
If the assumption is correct I imagine without the Today app running the battery would last longer?
What does the Today app do that I need? I never leave my clockface, so is it possible to turn off the redundant processing if the Today app cannot be stopped?

Hi @Guy_, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community.
Regarding the "Today app" inquiry, I'm afraid that it can't be stopped. I totally understand your point and your feedback is greatly appreciated since this helps us to keep improving.
I'd like you to submit a request in our Feature Suggestions board and people can vote for it. The more votes your request gets, the more chances it will have to be reviewed by our team. We appreciate your patience and understanding with this.
I'll be around if any question arises.
