"Unlock with your phone"

So I have this issue where my Fitbit got locked and is showing "Unlock with Phone".

Now the issue is that somehow I deleted my old Fitbit account where this Fitbit was connected to, probably when I deleted the application from my phone (don't ask why, I don't know.)

Now the issue here is that I cannot ever unlock it again, even with a new account and setting up the device on this account. Since when it is displaying the 4 digit code it will show the "unlock with phone".

Now my question is, does anyone know how to solve this or reset the Fitbit?

I still do have warranty for this Fitbit from the store I bought it from. But I rather solve this when possible then going to the return process.

I await.

Hello @RETNIDAdmin has this issue been going on for a while now? I see that your posting from a 13 day old Fitbit account.

If you go to https://www.fitbit.com/settings/device do you see the tracker connected to your account?

I have a similar issue.

My versa got locked in the shower and in attempting to unlock ti from my android phone i removed the versa from my account and now I can't re-add it as it asks for the 4 digit PIN on the versa but it's locked and won't display the 4 digit PIN to re-add it to the account.

What can I do????

As I said in my post, this is a new account. Since the old account got deleted somehow, which is probably when I deleted the application from my phone a while ago.

My Fitbit got locked and I need to unlock it with my phone. So I did what anyone would do, re-install the application, log-in. Then it said that the account didn't exist. So I made a new account (which is this one).

Tried re-adding it, but for re-adding it you need the 4 digit code, which isn't showing because I need to unlock my Fitbit first. Which I can't do because I have to unlock it with my phone, but in order to unlock it I have to add it, and for that I need the 4 digit code. This is where a loop is starting for me.

So I kinda gave up, but now I want to get back on track with my Fitness again after creating the new account 13 days ago and giving up because it's not working.

Hope someone can help.

This whole thing could have been prevented by simply setting the lock for Fitbit pay only.

@RETNIDAdmin. to delete a Fitbit account it requires the user to press a button that clearly says Delete Account, then the user needs to confirm the deletion by typing in their Fitbit password. It is impossible to accidently delete a Fitbit account. Removing a Fitbit app from the phone will not delete your account and I would try logging into your old account.

@chrysm it is a 5 second procedure to change the password on your device if it still is connected to your Fitbit account.

I personally do not understand the logic of removing a tracker from a Fitbit account when the user is told to use their Fitbit account to unlock the tracker.

In any case we now have to reset the tracker.

On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This triggers the 2-button hardware reboot after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, and continue holding the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.
- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.
- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time, or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

I do understand that an account does not get deleted just like that.

However, I could not log into the old account which I am sure the e-mail was correct since I had activation e-mails still in my inbox folders. I even tried a password reset, but that e-mail never arrived. I did check any blockades in the spam folder and on Ironport (which is a anti-spam). Nothing was there.

I also tried to make a new account with the e-mail and it created a new account without any error like "already exist". This made me think it somehow got deleted, my Fitbit Versa was also not in the devices pages, I had to re-add it, which well, I couldn't.

I have tried to reset the Fitbit multiple times the way you told me to with the steps.

However, I can't seem to manage to boot it into the Setup boot.

It always boots back into normal mode and never get any strong vibration.

Maybe this is because the Fitbit is locked and it cannot be reset then?

By any chance did you get an email saying that your email was changed, or was it possible that the email used was not correct?

Have you been receiving weekly activity emails from fitbit?

When you contacted Fitbit about this missing account?

No, that is the strange part. I did not received any e-mails for a change in either a password or an e-mail address. I also never got any e-mail for a confirmation to delete the account.

The other thing is that I still haven't be able to reset the Fitbit with the steps provided. Maybe it cannot be reset while locked?
