what would be the best exercise to track alpine skiing?

@ShelVar1 I think you might have to settle for plain Workout or Run (if you care for GPS data). If you choose Workout, then after you've finished, change the name to Skiing in the Fitbit mobile app Exercise section. There's also an app called Alpine Snow.

I am thinking about the right exercise for skiing myself. I would go for hiking probably, since it includes gps data (also walk, run and bike capture gps).

I also have been selecting “hiking” but it doesn’t track mileage any time you go downhill. I just got back from a backcountry ski that was 5.2
mi. Though the GPS tracked the whole route (the map is right) the Fitbit says it was 3.58 mi. Too bad Fitbit doesn’t have a skiing option 😞

That might work. However, I still don't understand what the peoblem for the fitbit developers is to add skiing (both xc and downhill) to the exercise list directly?
It's kinda sad that the most popular winter activity is missing...
