Hey there. I've gotten my Fitbit Versa 2 a little less than 2 months ago, and I've been using it ever since. I'm male, 29 years old, 1,93 m tall and I currently weigh around 230 pounds with an estimated body fat % of 23%.
I have an office job and on average I walk around 7-9 km each day and without further training, my total burned calories amount to over 3500-3800 on average. This just seems excessively high. I', m currently trying to get into shape and with a slow run (6,5 km/h) for 20 Minutes I burn around 500 calories. Again, this seems excessively high. Even with such a short amount of training, it's not unusual for me to reach numbers in the mid to high 4000 range. I tried measuring my heartbeat and compare it to what the Versa 2 is showing me and that's seems to be accurate.
The thing is, I'm currently trying to lose weight and get back into shape and according to almost any other calculator, with a 20% deficit I should consume at most 1800 calories a day to lose 0,5 kg per week. According to my Versa 2 and its hardest weight loss setting - a deficit of -1000 calories a day for a weight loss of 0,9 kg per week - I can eat up to 2500-2800 calories a day. This just doesn't seem right to me. Is there anything I'm missing? I'm really mostly sedentary throughout the majority of the day and aside from walking to work / home, I really don't do much to justify being able to eat that much.

Check that your weight is entered correctly in Fitbit. If it is mistakenly entered much too high, that inflates calories burned numbers.

In addition to what @JohnnyRow said, and that is a very common reason for inflated calorie burns, what is your average heart rate during the runs? Are those numbers inflated, as well? If so, that could be a contributing factor.
The reason I ask is that while I no longer take off on runs, I do hit the treadmill twice a day. During those sessions I am seeing my heart rate overstated between 8 and 20 beats per minute when compared to a pulse-oximeter as well as a manual check. I have even seen a heart rate in excess of 140 bpm for a five-minute period, peaking at 156 bpm when my actual heart rate is in the high 90's.
