touching my phone to the watch triggers fitbit pay

i’m not sure if this is a feature or a bug but every time the top of my phone goes near my watch, fitbit pay gets triggered and it does two short vibrations.

i don’t have fitbit pay but i do have apple pay on my phone. my shortcut is set to workouts so it’s not triggering the long-press button hold feature, but it seems to happen only when near the upper “paying” part of my phone. im wondering if this is a defect or might be messing up my watch in some way?

i might end up deleting apple pay to see if that has an effect, but i would hate to lose its convenience

I have the same issue, but samsung so doesn't seem to be related to apple pay. I turned off NFC and contactless payments on the phone and it no longer does it. So I think unfortunately the only way to stop it happening is to turn off contactless payments on the phone, as I can't find any way to turn it off on my fitbit and would much rather do that!
