Hello,
So I’ve been using my fitbit versa for few days (I upgraded from Flex 2) and I usually walk an hour/day, BUT I am not able to see my walking track on neither the dashboard nor the watch itself. When I used to use Flex 2, it would automatically track my walk (and considered it as an exercise). So I dont get why my walk wouldn’t be tracked automatically on versa. Please help:( ..

I upgraded from the flex2 to the Versa also and had the same issue. But now when I walk for exercise I use the walking exercise shortcut. I find it to be much more accurate then the auto recognize one from my flex2. My flex2 was great in auto dectecting my exercises so I’m not sure why the Versa is a bit slow on it. I’ll try walking today without using the exercise short cut and see if it records it.

Click on the Versa in your dashboard. Click on exercise shortcuts and click edit. It will give you the option to delete one of the exercises shown. Once you delete one you will be given the option to add walk.

Please let me know if it would record it or not. Mine still wouldn’t record anything. It would record calories, miles, distance etc, but it wouldnot recognizes my walk or anything else as an exercise . I am not sure if other people’s versa is able to auto detect or if the problem is only with few of us, but im getting really frustrated with this issue. The last record I have was when I used my flex2. Also, one of the reasons why I decided to get the versa instead of Apple watch was because of the autodetect. I dont like the idea that I have to choose whatever exercise I want to do from the exercise app in versa and then start exercising. Thought it might be more accurate as u mentioned.

When you go to the fitbit app, click of the icon on the top right corner, then click on your versa account. After that, scroll down until you see exercise shortcuts. There are 15 exercises but you can only choose 7 at a time. Hope this helps

So does this mean that the versa doesn’t autodetect exercises?
My flex2 was amazing in auto detecting exercises without choosing what exercise I am doing, but im not able to do the same thing for versa 😔

Mine is auto recognizing and registering walks over 15 minutes - I've just done one and checked both the app dashboard and the pc dash.... I have a special ed versa... not sure if that is relevant??

I dont thinj it’s relevant just because the only difference between the normal and versa special edition is the fitbit pay work. Did you have to wait to check if it was auto detect? Or it was immediately detected/registered?
Im still not sure if this is just an error or an issue but I will try to swim or walk again to see how it goes 😪

Hi, mine updated within about 5 minutes of sitting back down... I did swipe to sync the app first. Hope that helps.

So I didn’t get to test it for walking but I did test it on my Zumba class and it did auto record it as aerobics so I guess mine seems to be ok. I’ll test it for a walk tomorrow hopefully and see if it records that.

Hello,
My apologies for the delay. I had to test mine several times. The good news is that today my walking was autodetect for the first time. Tho I have to walk more or do other exercises to see how accurate it is. Also, I did see the exercise log in the app itself but unfortunately it is not there in the watch. I am not able to see it :(.

My versa did auto detect my walk but now my versa died. Waiting for my replacement so hoping I have no issues with the second one.

You can also check and adjust your auto detect settings. I have walking set to 10 minutes. Perhaps playing with those settings might help. It is based on your settings so it should not have changed but could not hurt to check.
