try another product after burned wrist

My Versa burned my wrist after wearing it for 2 months and previously I had worn  a Charge 2 for a year, until the bracket broke.   Fitbit seems to think I am the problem, an allergy, I am leaning towards the Versa I have being defective. They do not encourage me to wear another one.   I want to try another Versa or Charge 2 or 3.   That would tell me if I’m really the issue and can not longer use this product, or if the one I have is actually defective.  Has anyone been successful wearing another fitbit device without any issues after being burned by one of their watches.   I really enjoy wearing their products for many reasons, health and communication.

As for the burned wrist. Probably not a burn, but some type of contact dermatitis

Without knowing anything about your skin condition @Sarahcat. I can only guess.

- Is the band loose enough to easily for a finger or two under?

- Does the rash look as if it comes from the light, or around the whole band?

- Between the Charge 2 and the Versa there is not much of a difference but the wider band may require more attention in keeping it clean.

- Are the bands simaler? Which band does the Versa have?

- Do you clean the band? Trapped dirt or pollen

- Trapped sweat can have bacteria buildup and irritate the skin. Let the skin dry out if you have to, or wear the tracker looser

- Have you recently changed soaps or hand cream?

- Any medications being taken or prescription creams on the wrist? They could cause a sensitivity to light, but unlikely since the LED has almost no UV light.

Have you talked with a dermatologist or at least shown your wrist to your pharmacist?

Yes. I am having the same issue. I wore a Blaze without trouble for more than a year. I also wore a Versa for a year but it was recently replaced by Fitbit because it stopped working. I’ve been wearing the new Versa for a couple of months and I have blistering on my wrist where the lights make contact. I have taken it off and I am probably not going to wear it again.

Wearing a Charge 2 with no problem now. I wore this Charge 2 for a year and was able to get the straps replaced after the Flex burned me. I really think it was a defective watch, but was afraid to try the Flex again since the recommended against it.

I switched from Balze to Versa Special Edition a month ago. The charcoal fabric band of Versa is definitely making some effect on my wrist skin after wearing it for a week. I usually wear the Versa 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Since my skin is very sensitive to some material or contact, I am thinking of replacing the wrist band. Old Blaze wrist band had no problem at all for 1.5 years...
