turning off the "Always On" feature

I turned on the Always On feature to track steps. But it tracks distance I have driven in my car. How do I find that "Always On" feature to turn it off when I'm driving?

Always On just applies to the screen.  It has no effect on any measurements, including steps.

thank you! I must have misstated the function. It is tracking steps even when I driving. the tracking is running in the background and I don't know what I did to set it up

I understand.

Fitbit is always tracking steps, calories, distance, etc without regard to foreground or background.  Some people get some steps when driving from vibrations  in the wrist.  I suppose it is more likely on bumpy roads.
