unable to install watch face for versa lite

Unable to install SP02 watch face on Versa lite. This is my 2nd watch face. Due to this installing issue, the versa lite has difficulties syncing to my phone. It keeps notifying me "Unable to install. Install failed, please try again later", but it keeps trying to install still and I am unable to cancel the installation, therefore can't download other watch faces as well. Everytime I go to see the watch face selection screen, it asks me to continue installing and it's permanently on "switching".

 

I am new to fitbit but I did check to ensure that my app and device is updated (latest time i updated being 6 February). I tried to remove the versa lite from my fitbit app and reconnect but it's not resolving the issue.... Please help 😞

Try logging out of the Fitbit app and restarting both watch and phone, it may resolve the problem with the install and also remove the pending install if it doesn't.

Hi! I logged out and restarted my phone as well. I am considering deleteing the fitbit app but I want the data inside... Could you tell me more about restarting the watch and if it will erase any data? Thank you so much!

Try this before doing anything

In Android phone Settings *

Apps

Fitbit

Storage - clear cache [not data]

Force Fitbit shutdown

[though it doesn't seem to fully]

Log back in to the Fitbit app

 

*Quick Shortcut: Press and hold the Fitbit launch icon, then App info [on some phones]

 

This will clear any impending clock install.

 

Just restarting your watch won't lose any data. However a factory reset will not only lose the data on the watch it may very well kill a Versa Lite watch, so DO NOT do that.
