versa 2 floors climbed too high

I am starting a new topic as other related posts are two years old.  I have owned Fitbits for years and have been mostly satisfied.  I received a Versa 2 for Christmas.  I have loved it...HOWEVER..after only 3 months the device has started to over count the floors I have climbed.  This morning, as an example, I climbed two flights of stairs and the Versa 2 registered 14.  This has been happening for 3 days.  I have restarted several times to no avail.  This has nothing to do with the weather or air pressure as nothing has occurred environmentally that hasn't happened many, many times in the past,

This must be either a firmware or software issue.  What is Fitbit doing to address this.  The Versa 2 is not inexpensive.  Having this issue after only three months is both frustrating and ubacceptable.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @dpopp47. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the issue you're experiencing with your Versa 2 counting too many floors. I understand how frustrating this is for you love your watch and would like to continue enjoying the Fitbit experience. Thanks for trying to resolve this and I am here to help.

I understand that you've already checked the information from our help article: Why does my Fitbit device count extra floors? You can also find more information about tracking activity in this help article: How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?

I understand your concern and would like to confirm if these are the steps you tried to restart the watch: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Please keep me posted, I'll be around.

Hi.  Thank you for your response.  I have tried everything you reference in your respose to my post.  The problem persists.  Today I have been in the house all day.  I would guess I have climbed 8 flights of stairs today.  My Versa2 had me at 33 very early in the day.  I shut down my watch and powered it back up.  That was about 4 hours ago.  My Versa2 now shows 168 flights of stairs.  I follow my stats religiously and this is driving me nuts,  I am convinced a have a lemon.  Who do I need to contact to get a replacement?
