versa fails to connect via blue tooth on windows 10

Tried rebooting and switching switching off blue tooth on the laptop but even though the versa device is showing as paired no connection was found.  Interestingly versa appears to talk fine with an apple ipadpro via wifi.

Logged out of the fitbit on the ipadpro and removed connection on ipadpro.

Now retried to connect via wifi or via Bluetooth on the windows 10 lap top but no luck with either after numerous reboots on both devices, checking versa was on the charging station etc.

Any other suggestions gratefully received.

Hi, try this, as I understand your Versa is not paired with your PC: Go to the settings of your Versa and set BT to pairing. Put your Versa in the charger and connect it to your PC. Click settings on your PC and press Devices. Turn on the BT of your PC and click Add another BT device and your Versa, when it goes as it did in my case, will be added to your BT devices and then try again what I suggested in my earlier post. Good luck!

Hi, did you install Fitbit Connect on your PC? See this article: How do I set up my Fitbit device? When you click this link, click on "Trackers and Watches" and the page will expand. Scroll down to underneath the first video, where is says: "Fitbit Connect" and read that carefully.

Thanks for the suggestion I tried this after rebooting both the laptop and the versa.  The versa is as close to the labtop as possible but no joy

The versa is paired and it does try to connect.  When it does try I feel a vibration on versa and it displays setting up and then the connection drops off.  When it's trying to do this the clock loses a few minutes after each attempt.  Just logged out on my lap top and logged back in to the ipad, versa clock is now synced in and the data is downloaded

Just tried again with the versa on the charger linked via USB to the laptop.  When the versa is fully charged it now works,  success  !

My thanks for all your help

You know, this would be the solution if your device was NEVER paired. But the one thing most people who attempt to answer issues like this miss is that the device has often been successfully paired, data transferred and then it works for a period of time only to inexplicably fail to connect at a later date. For, example, my Versa synced when I arrived home from work at 11:46pm. Thus, my Windows 10 pc HAS to "know" about my Versa. But at 12:28am, a little over 30min later,  it failed to connect and sync and was missing from the bluetooth enumeration. So it may well be a WIndows 10 bluetooth, Fitbit app or Versa bluetooth issue, and in many cases a user issue, but in my case it isn't something I am doing or not doing. It's something that the devices or the software is doing or not doing. Because I am setting it up and it works and then...poof...it stops working.  And furthermore, the fact that when this occurs, the Versa will not connect to ANY device I have it paired to and at times, even if it is paired and connected, the Versa still will not sync. The solution I have had to resort to is to unpair, re-pair, reinstall applications, reboot watch, phones, and PC and act like its the day I bought it all over again. This is not optimal and quite annoying.

Many thanks for your information.  I found that my laptop only very occasionally works.  I will try your suggestion but I agree it's annoying.  Whereas my mum's iPad works first time every time.  Another possibility is interference from other devices but switching off every nearby electrical device didn't work.  It may be down to the bluetooth signal receiver for laptop not being able to pick up the weak signals from the versa.  I am going to try and get a bluetooth dongle for the laptop to see if this is a better alternative.
