versa not working after 1 year of purchase

I purchased a fitbit versa and was just over 1 year and then the battery doesnt even last 4 hours. It also doesnt sync with phone. Did a full reset on device and still same problem. This shouldnt happen to a watch after 1 year. Paid a lot of money for the divice and then this happens.

Mine was about 5 months into its 1st year, a month ago it started restarting by itself and the screen getting non responsive. Thinking whether it was the firmware giving me the problem.

 

Asked customer support thru the email (Im not from the States) and in the end they asked me to get a new one as the warranty had ended. Really pissed at this kind of service.
