very disapointed with support for fitbit versa 2

I purchased and upgraded to a versa 2 fitbit watch 5 1/2 months ago. I loved it, and wore it every day. while trying to put it on I accidently dropped it and the screen broke quite working. I called fitbit to get it replaced because I thought it was covered under the 1 year factory warranty. they are telling me that it isn't covered and is considered accidental damage. hard to believe that this upgraded watch couldn't survive a 3' drop. very upset about this.

Wow that’s not good you would think the warranty would cover you! 

my versa 2 as been bricked by there firmware update (7months old) they are replacing it but these issues with Fitbit seem far too common. 
you think they would want to keep customers not push us away
