I have just purchased the Versa after having the Apple Watch. I am very disappointed that I cant send texts from my Versa like I can from my Apple Watch - I have an iPhone, and thought this would be ok, but it appears it isnt & it pretty much makes my new Versa useless.

@traceyleewatson Unlikely. Versa supports quick replies. One cannot dictate a message (no microphone) nor draw it. What I don't understand is how that makes your Versa useless. Apple Watch and Versa are two different devices. Versa is an activity tracker with some smartwatch features, backed up by great fitness/health platform. Apple watch is a smartwatch with some fitness tracking features without a decent platform, really (but it's my humble opinion). I thought you had purchased Versa to complement Apple watch (or vice versa), after reviewing its features. Lack of txt messaging doesn't make your tracker useless as it was not designed to do that in the first place. Sorry.

I was asking because it’s already possible on Android phones. It would be a great feature as I had previously had a Fitbit & was given an Apple Watch, which whilst good, wasn’t as good for the fitness side as the Fitbit. My question was asking when this will happen not to get avid Fitbit users angry at me.

@traceyleewatson I think there's a misunderstanding here. You mention Android phones... Are you asking by any chance about Quick Replies on Versa for iPhone? Or, about composing text messages on Versa? As I mentioned before, Versa supports quick replies on Android. It does not support quick replies on iOS due to the limitations of iOS notification centre. Apple needs to open up their platform a bit and they're not to keen on it. As far as I know Fitbit is looking into possible workarounds, but honestly it will be difficult.

Thank you, that’s correct. I read that iphones don’t support the quick replies, however Androids do, I love my iPhone, but I think they’re behind when it comes to so many applications the androids have. That said, it looks like I just need to use my phone as a phone and my watch as a smart tracker like it was intended. Thank you though for clarifying, much appreciated. 😊

@traceyleewatson You're welcome. I misunderstood the thread title. 😊 You know, if I'm not wrong there was a case of quick replies on Pebble that would work on iPhones. Now you don't need to have an interest in Pebble (which btw was purchased by Fitbit), but the interesting part is that Verizon (and only Verizon) made quick replies work for iOS. I know Fitbit users want this feature and Fitbit is working on it. It even has it's thread. Please vote for this feature. You will also be able to read any updates from moderators there.
