work in MRI 1.5T

I'm a CT tech and am going to start working on a 1.5T MRI unit as well. I love my Versa and have had absolutely no problems working with x-ray with it.  But what is the magnet going to do it?  I understand that some components are ferromagnetic, but will it still work?  I'd really hate to have to take it off and put it one a hundred times a day.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @tlacey. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about wearing your Fitbit Versa since you're going to start working on a 1.5T MRI unit. I am glad to hear you love your device and have had no problems working with x-ray with it. I would like to advise that all Fitbit devices contain ferromagnetic materials that may be attracted to an MRI scanner. Due to that we recommend that you avoid using Fitbit devices in the vicinity of MRI scanners. I am sorry for any disappointment.

I wore a Fitbit inspire HR in both the 1.5T and the 3T. Almost immediately the vibrate function stopped working. Which was fine because everything else worked great. About 2 months shy of the 2 year mark the screen started to act up. Only every other line would light up. I ended upgrading anyways at that time. Even with my new Charge 4, the vibrate doesn't work correctly but everything else does. Small price to pay I think to keep everything else working and to keep wearing it.

Thank you so much for this comment! I've had my charge 2 working on a 3T MRI scanner for 3 years with no issues other than the vibration function sporadically stopping and coming back. I've been more worried about upgrading to the charge 4 due to the added GPS function..but you mentioning that everything else has been fine makes me super happy! My screen just cracked and it's time for an upgrade. Cheers!
