workout stats not showing correctly in app.

I upgraded from a charge 2 and when a workout was done it showed time, average heart rate and calories burned, now when I track the same workout (body jam) with the versa instead it’s showing distance and pace, as though it was a walk/run. Is there something in he setting I need to do to fix this.

Hi there @cazspencem good to see you around one more time. My apologies for the late response, as I noticed you haven't received an official response.

It will depend what selection you are choosing from the exercise app in your Versa. If this is a Walk / Run exercise or if is just a workout categorization. Keep in mind you can edit in the preference of the exercise to customize your stats you want to see. It may vary, depending of the exercise, but you can choose between Top, middle and bottom stat.

To access here, go to your Exercise app > Select the exercise categorization and in the left upper corner you'll see a gear icon to access the preference of the exercise. Based on the type of exercise I would recommend to choose workout instead of Walk / Run, as this is more for outdoor exercise.

Hope this helps and see you around until the next opportunity.

No it’s an aerobic workout exercise and being tracked as such, it doesn’t have a pace or distance. I have spoke in legnth on live chat and have been told it’s an issue that needs fixed. It should be showing as it did with charge 2 as it’s a workout, not a walk or run. Will find out if any change tomorrow as i have a class then.

I didn’t ask about customise stats. I know how to do that? Why change my title when that is not even my question!

During my workouts now, the screen shows distance and pace instead of time, average heart rate and calories burned. I don’t need to see distance and pace for an at home workout. Never used to do this but it looks like it’s giving the same info as if on a run or walk. How can I fix this?

Hello @Shanrich, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Tell me, which tracker or watch are you currently using? Are you using your tracker or watch to track your exercise or are you using MobileRun directly from the app? When you finish a workout, do you categorize it in the Fitbit app?

Additionally, I would like to ask you for some screenshots of your workouts so I can check this further. Please follow these steps to upload your pictures to your next reply.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply.

I have the Versa. And I use the workout option to track my workouts as I have done with my previous Fitbit’s. Here are screenshoots if my current workouts and my past ones. 6D218CE6-B989-4702-B980-33158F982157.png

  7. Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  8. Turn on the Bluetooth.

The instructions seem to resolve an issue where the IOS App displays Distance and Pace on an activity category which should show Duration and Cals burned. Activities such as Weights, Circuits, spinning etc where Distance and Pace have no relevance, but Duration and Cals burned are more relevant to the activity/category.

thanks for the info.. I have android phone.. I tried your solution for customized stat (in exercise) that keeps resetting to default everytime I exit the app.  It is a major issue from what I read online that doesn't have a solution until fitbit fixes the issue on the next update.

I’m having the same issue. I don’t like it because I’m primarily concerned about the calories burned.

I'm noticing the same/similar thing. I customise the stats I want to see using exercise (running or cycling) but it seems to reset the next time I use it and I have to go through the same process all again. Do you know if this issue was fixed?

Nope the workout I did yesterday shows correctly on the Fitbit but in the app it shows a distance and pace. Getting really annoying now as Fitbit are clearly not even attempting to fix this issue. It’s been seen every the versa was released!

No, not fixed and same old rubbish from Fitbit saying they are actively working on it when evidently they are more inclined to just push out new products with the same problem. It’s provably a very simple fix but they can’t be bothered and it’s been going on for over 12 months!! They are very responsive in Twitter so have a look at my comments with them on there - @timjrowe

Sadly it wasn’t just the Versa! It was the. Blaze and Ionic too! The Charge2 was fine and still is as my wife has one. No idea if it affects their new Charge3!!

So it seems it’s any of their smart watch trackers that have the issue. It’s really annoying as I now go back to my charge 2 for tracking workouts, which I should have to!
