Where is the 250 steps per hr.  We need that to keep us motivated?

Please see this thread (<-- click) on this same topic. 

It's very likely that you won't see tracking for this metric until the next app update. You'll need to switch to the regular version of the Fitbit app to see the tracking. 

The way that I track my hourly step goal is from the Public Preview dashboard. I have steps as one of the tracked metrics in the dashboard at the top of the Today page. I tap on Steps to open the page and run my finger along the graph to see if I've completed my hourly step goal.
