Fitbit AI Doesn't Remember an Upcoming Race I am Training For

This is a very strange quirk that I can't seem to resolve: I want to train for an upcoming 10K race (four weeks from now). I input the date and my intention to prepare for the race. At first, it appears fine... it gives me a good prep week for the 10K. However, the next week the AI sets me up for a "taper" week which is expected the week before a race (instead of four weeks away). I reiterate that the date is a month away, the AI apologizes, resets exercises but then does the same thing all over again the next week. This has been going on for over a month. It has truly become irritating. The AI also remembers that last fall I had hip issues, but despite the fact that those hip issues are gone, it keeps repeating that it wants me to consider my "hip issues" in my preparation for the 10K. It is holding one piece of information I want it to forget and forgetting another piece of information I want it to remember. Simply bizarre.

Hi, @maxryan, this must be very irritating for you. You'll have enough on your mind keeping the preparation on track. I've noticed a similar lack of depth in understanding when fine-tuning my modest attempt to build muscle mass. The solution at the moment is to keep communicating with "Coach" in plain language (why have you made the same mistake again?) There's no doubt a lot of rough edges in the pubic preview app, which is by no means complete. When we point out these errors (you can use the help centre in the public overview app as well, through direct exchanges with "Coach") I assume this is all part of "Coach's" learning process!!

Good fortune with you 10K

Cheers

Thank you! I wish there was a place to input these particular "facts" within our profile so that the AI can always refer to this information. This information could include upcoming races, current maladies (like the hip, if that was the case), etc. But - communicating clearly obviously is important with the "coach."
