Health Connect: "Review your permissions" problem

I'm currently experiencing the exact same error. I can't say whether it will have any consequences or if everything will still work normally.

Hi @Dreiundachzig, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

If you see a "review your permissions" message, but you don't see any consequences, see if the message goes away by uninstalling/reinstalling the app.

In addition, see if you are eligible to join Public Preview because you may receive the invitation but you need to comply with certain requirements. For reference see Join and leave Public Preview.

Reinstalling the app didn't solve the problem and I'm not eligible to join public preview.

Hi @Dreiundachzig, thank you for your response.

I believe we aren't on the same page and we are talking about different topics.

Since you have posted in the Personal Health Coach Public Preview board, i asked you if your were able to join it. However, it seems you are talking about more specifically in regards to How to use Health Connect in the Fitbit app.

If you are seeing a "Review your permissions" message on the Fitbit app while setting up Health Connect in the Fitbit app, see Why can't I enable permissions for some data types in Health Connect?

Under  "What data from Health Connect syncs to the Today tab in the Fitbit app?" it says:

The following stats from Health Connect can be viewed from the Today tab :
Steps
Calories
Distance traveled
Floors climbed
Exercise metrics

- - - - - - - -

Where can I go to ask Fitbit to sync Weight from Health Connect and display the data on the You tab along with these other stats?

Hi @chris_in_cal, thanks for your message,

I'm glad to answer your question.

Please note that the stats listed in your post, are the only ones you can transmit from Health connect to the Fitbit app. I appreciate your understanding.

On the other hand, you can allow to share stats from the Fitbit app by going to Mobile Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Health Fitness & Wellness.

Thanks @DavidFitbit

One hand and the other hand for me more specifically means:   The FitBit app "Reads" data or the FitBit app "Writes" data.

My question is explicitly on the part where the FitBit app "Reads" data. Once FitBit reads in data from Health Connect it goes on to display:

  • Steps
  • Calories
  • Distance traveled
  • Floors climbed
  • Exercise metrics

> Please note that the stats listed in your post, are the only ones you can transmit from Health connect to the Fitbit app. I appreciate your understanding.

It seems it can be thought of in two part.

  1. FitBit reads in these metrics from Health Connect
  2. FitBit takes this data and displays it to us users

So to hone back in on my question. Please have FitBit "Read" the weight metric data from Health Connect, and follow on by please displaying that number to us users in the app.

I kind of believe FitBit already does "Read" the weight number from Health Connect, but you can confirm that, but I am certain that it is not displayed to us users in the app.  That's the question I have for FitBit.  Read the weight data from Health Connect and subsequently display that number for us users in the app.   If not, why not?

Thank you.
