Improve your sleep

Hey, Fitbit Community!

Here are some tips for using Ask Coach to help you improve your sleep:

  • Get a detailed sleep analysis. Woke up groggy? Ask: “Why did I wake up feeling tired today?” to get an analysis of what might have impacted your sleep.
  • Understand sleep disruptors. To see how your day affects your night, ask: “How did my late-night workout affect my sleep?
  • Analyze sleep stages. Curious about the details? Ask: “Looking at my sleep stages, did I have enough deep and REM sleep? Can you break down my sleep stages from last night?
  • See weekly patterns. For a broader view, try: “Give me a summary of my sleep quality for the past week.
  • Suggest a wind-down routine. Need to relax before bed? Ask: “Can you suggest a relaxing wind-down routine for me?

Were you able to enjoy a good night’s sleep with the help of Ask Coach? How have your sleeping habits changed with its use? We’d love to hear from you, so please share how your Health Coach has enhanced your understanding of your habits and turned it into a concrete sleeping plan!

Hello @FergusKitty

The vertical lines show the beginning and end of each sleep stage, basically showing when you transitioned from one sleep stage to the next one.

By any chance, were the 2 sleep stages that you were in at the same time Light sleep and Awake? Every now & then, my sleep graph will show that I'm in both Light and Awake stages within the same time period, with just tiny blips of one stage. There aren't vertical lines since I'm not fully in one of the stages for the entire period.

This help page (<-- click) has the instructions to export your sleep data. Just to let you know, I'm not sure that the data is easy to filter & interpret based on the reports that I've seen from other users.

Please add on demand blood oxygen sensing to the public preview. Every other watch has it what is taking Google so long to add it.
